The mediocre teacher tells. The good teacher explains. The great teacher inspires.” – William Ward.

My teaching passion lies in the ability to experience everyday routines through new eyes. It is through this experience that I believe that my students are able to witness the genuine magic of learning and this in turn enables them to bring it to life. Such engagement comes alive when the students themselves are given the freedom to explore rather than the students are instructed to simply listen and apply.
I have the zeal to create a fun learning atmosphere; thus teaching for me is a worthwhile experience. I believe that the kindergarten experience must nurture social-emotional skills in each child and create joyful school memories. Kindergarten is a magical journey and one of my responsibilities is to develop the imagination and create memorable rituals, traditions, and celebrations that honor childhood. I value dramatic play, block building, dance and movement and the many forms of literacy play. I want children to be active learners and disciplined, creative thinkers; to learn to work hard, make good choices, and to be kind. I want children to love coming to school each day. Since they have spent most of their day with me, I ensure that they spend it constructively.
I consider it a great opportunity to mould the young impressionable minds, an opportunity to lay the foundations of a journey that will transform adoring 5 years old into responsible adults. The best part is I’m having the time of my life and I am grateful to be a part of GIS!
